Center Director
Salary: $63,000-$68,000
Hours: Full Time Monday-Friday, occasional evenings and weekends. Part Year, 41 weeks
Position Summary:
The Site Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations of a Wild Plum Center facility including supervision of Teachers, Teacher Assistants, and Administrative Staff. The Supervisor is responsible for managing education and disability content areas including providing consultation and support for child behavior and parent concerns. Site Supervisors plan for and administer services in accordance to WPC stated purpose, Head Start Act, Head Start Performance Standards, and the Colorado Department of Licensing. The management and oversite of maintenance and safety, staffing for classrooms as well as file maintenance for staff, are integral to this position.
Education and Experience: Minimum of 3 years early childhood experience as a Teacher and one year supervisory experience required. Current Director Qualification from the State of Colorado Office of Childcare required. Head Start/Early Head Start experience strongly desired. Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices for the 0 to 5-year old population required. Experience in implementing educational curriculum required.
Special Qualifications: Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred. Proof of a physical exam, TB test and background check must be completed. Valid driver’s license and access to and use of an insured reliable vehicle required. Must be able to train and coach adults and have strong computer skills.
